Nov. 30, 2006 — It was the shocking story — and unbelievable surveillance video — that riveted the nation. A young McDonald's employee humiliated, forced to strip and then to perform a sexual act in the back office, during her work day.

This horrifying ordeal changed one woman's life forever, and put one man on trial, accused of masterminding a bizarre and elaborate hoax. If convicted, David Stewart faced 15 years in prison on charges ranging from solicitation of sodomy, to impersonating a police officer.

oh that whole thing made me so furious. these people are ridiculously stupid and just goes to show you what sheep we all are.

indeed. this is a total affirmation of the Milgram Experiments and it also shows how quickly we can slip down the slope of Fascism. When i see stuff like this it really makes me think that the terrorists (brought to you by the letter W) have indeed won.

this is really fascinating. i did not know it ran so deep in the science research sense [although, of course- why wouldn't it?). when watching/reading this news, i recalled the short story "the lottery" or even that twilight zone episode where everyone in a small suburban community turned on each other during a perceived crisis. we all want to kill each other and power is just an excuse. scared little sheep.

I saw that on the tele. It was unbelievable.
Unbelievable how stupid people can be.
And he got off.

it doesn't surprise me that he got off, look at OJ, but it does amaze me that those who were perceived to be in authority, the manager and her boyfriend, went along with the ruse and those who weren't, like the janitor, called shenanigans. It's pretty much a perfect example of the Milgram Experiments.
